TALLMADGE, OHIO (June 23, 2009)"American Elite AllStars of Ohio today announced the promotion of cheer and tumbling instructor Taylor Schultz to the position of cheer and tumble coach in the program's North Ridgeville Training Center,
effective immediately.

"I am honored to reach this career goal during my experience with American Elite," Schultz says. "It's more than just a milestone. Being able to share my experience and develop the character and leadership skills of young athletes as part of the American Elite AllStars Program is both a goal realized and a challenge to now meet and exceed some of the most stringent standards in the national spirit industry."

A native of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Schultz has been with American Elite since January. His approach to coaching was developed through his own experience as an All-Star Level 5 cheerleader during his youth. He was a member of Arena Football's Gladiators Cheer Squad from February to June 2008, and was director of tumbling, as well as a performance team member and camp instructor with Pittsburgh-based Point and Center from November 2008 to May 2009. He also served as an instructor for Elite's Pittsburgh-based cheerleading camp during summer 2008.

Schultz holds industry certifications with the U.S. All Star Federation (USASF), the governing body for All Star cheer and dance teams; the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors; and is First Aid Certified. His USASF certifications, granted in 2007, apply to all areas of cheer, levels one through five. He also serves as a cheer and tumbling judge for cheer competitions.

American Elite AllStars this year celebrates five years of training in the cheer, dance, gymnastics and child fitness disciplines. With three locations in Northeast Ohio--Tallmadge, North Ridgeville and Solon--the program endeavors to become the breakthrough standard-bearer in the burgeoning spirit industry through: safety, certified education and training excellence, inclusion, character-building and athletic integrity. From its annual "Children's Cheer Classic," which raises funds for Akron Children's Hospital's Reach Out and Read Program, to the awarding of college scholarships, Elite seeks to develop empowered athletes who become empowered leaders.
