Maple Heights -- A Wheeler Road woman reported someone took a gas-powered snow blower from her open garage the night of Feb. 27. She told police she paid $500 for the snow blower when it was new. But by the time it was taken, it was broken down and would not start. The snow blower was the only item reported missing from the garage. Police are investigating.
Theft
Feb. 22. License plate taken: A Lee Road man told police someone took the rear license plate from his car while it was parked at his home. There was no other damage reported to the car.
Feb. 27. Navigational system lost: A man told police someone broke into his locked vehicle while it was parked in his Hansen Road driveway and took a global positioning unit valued at $130 and a dual-screen DVD player valued at $150. There was no reported damage to the vehicle.
Reckless operation
Feb. 26. ATVs making noise: An anonymous caller told police several juveniles were riding ATVs on Raymond Street and making too much noise shortly before 6:30 p.m.
The riders were gone when police arrived. Police are not investigating.
Burglary
Feb. 25. Windows broken, pipes taken: The owner of a vacant Dunbury Drive home told police someone had broken two windows on to enter the home and taken the copper pipes from the basement ceiling and walls. There was no damage total listed.
