Stafford Makes a Difference

October 29, 2007

On October 26, 2007, students at Stafford Elementary helped to make a
difference in the lives of many. As a project for Make a Difference Day
(Ohio), Mrs. Cain's class volunteered their time during the day. Twenty-one
students helped teachers, aides, secretaries, and custodians throughout the
building. "The students were eager to help out. Some students wanted to help
the teachers before school and during their recess or lunch times," stated
Mrs. Cain, project coordinator. One of the projects included helping the gym
teacher, Mrs. Turner, with a major project that involved painting. The janitors, Mr. Jones and Mr. Vergil, were impressed with the help that
they received from several students in Mrs. Cain's class. In all, the
students were successful. Mrs. Cain stated that, "I hope that this is
something that each student will remember for a long time, and as we say at
Stafford, Kids are our Business, Achievement is our Focus." It was a SUPER day at Stafford
on October 26, 2007, for Make a Difference Day!
