Karaoke contest to be hosted at lanes

Roseland Lanes is looking for the next karaoke superstar. Singing enthusiasts can show off their vocal ability and vie for the opportunity to fly to Las Vegas, Nev. and compete for $5,000 and studio time with an independent record label.

The competition runs for 13 weeks at Roseland Lanes with the finals being conducted the 14th week. The competition is for adults over 21 on Saturdays from 9 to 11 p.m. through April 28.

Roseland Lanes is at 26383 Broadway Ave. in Oakwood Village.

Each night of the contest, top singers will be chosen to come back and compete on April 28 for the honor of representing Roseland in the regional competition.

The winner at the regional competition will receive tickets for two and hotel accommodations for Las Vegas, Nev., where they will compete for $5,000 and studio time with an independent record label at the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America International Bowl Expo 2007.
