Bookworms wanted

Children in grades K through 4 and their favorite grown-up can discuss a good book, create a craft and have some fun on Thursdays from Feb. 1 through Feb. 15 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Pick up the first book, "The Hundred Penny Box," before the first session. Other books will be available at the first session.

Friday fun days planned

Preschoolers, with their families and friends, can enjoy storytelling, music and puppet shows the first Friday of every month through May. The first session is Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m. and participants can register at 216-475-5000 or online.

Scrapbooking basics
for girls to be covered

Girls in grades K through 4 are invited, with a grownup friend, to have fun learning the basics for those new to scrapbooking. You will make either a 12-inch by 12-inch or 8-inch by 8-inch scrapbook page. Please bring copies of photos you want to scrapbook on Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. Register in advance at 216-475-5000 or online.

Make a valentine

Children in grades K through 5 are invited on Feb. 10 at 11:30 a.m. to bring their creativity to our Valentine's "craft-a-palooza." Use hearts, doilies, stickers and stuff to make valentines for your friends and family and to decorate a box for yourself. Please register at 216-475-5000 or online.

African-American
history month

Teens are invited to read aloud for a nationwide "Read-In," sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English.

Select from literature provided by the library, and read aloud from the words and music of great African-American artists on Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m. at Maple Heights Regional Library.
