Nominations are now being accepted for the Annual Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce Awards, sponsored by UH -- Bedford Medical Center.
The Small Town Hero Award will be presented to a Nordonia Hills resident or business person who has demonstrated leadership in community projects and organizations and is involved in the betterment of the community through active civic participation.
The Small Business of the Year award will be presented to recognize the important role of small businesses in the community. This nominee must employ less than 25 people, contribute a significant amount of time to the community, show leadership within the business community, practice proper business ethics and be a member of the Chamber in good standing. All nominations, 250 words or less, must be delivered to the Chamber office or postmarked no later than April 20. The 2009 NHCOC Annual Award winners will be invited guests to the May 14 Awards Luncheon meeting. If a group, business or organization is the winner, one representative will be the guest. The recipient will be announced prior to the awarding of the plaque.
Those who nominate award winners will be entered into a $20 cash drawing sponsored by Tim Edgington, of Edward Jones Investments.
