Marci Anne Piltz, 30, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009. She was born April 19, 1978, in Garfield Heights to Edward A. and Bonnie L. (Terrell) Rudd. Marci worked as the police and courts reporter for the Record Courier, a position in which she took great pride and thoroughly enjoyed.
She was very involved with her sons' Cub Scouts activities. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and was a rock collector from an early age. One of her favorite pastimes was watching "Jeopardy."
Marci is survived by her parents; sons Zachary and Alex; sisters Terri (Jeff) Bragg, Cathi (Greg) Davis and Randi (Wes) Mariner; brother Edward C. (Kristen) Rudd; grandparents Eldon and Betty Terrell; four nephews; and three nieces. She was preceded in death by grandparents Edward C. and Catherine Rudd.
The family will use any memorial donations made to offset funeral expenses. The family received visitors at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main Street in Ravenna, March 23. Funeral services were conducted at the funeral home March 24 at 11 a.m., Pastor Virgil Smith officiating. All are invited to share memories of Marci at www.mem.com.
