Softball teams meet in charity event May 10
Bedford and Chanel high schools' girls fast-pitch softball teams will take on one another for "A Night with the Stars" on May 10 at the Heskett Middle School softball field, 5771 Perkins Road, Bedford Heights.
The junior varsity game will begin at 6 p.m. and the varsity game at about 8 p.m.
Tickets are $2 at the gate and the evening will include a drawing for door prizes, a reverse raffle and concessions.
"Bring a lawn chair and cheer on the ladies of both teams," said Kevin Vargyas, Bedford Schools junior varsity team coach. He is organizing the event.
Proceeds from the gate will be donated to a local charity.
