Veteran, Walton Hills resident

Services were April 4 at St. Mary Church in Bedford for Carl W. Barber.

Mr. Barber, 81, of Walton Hills, died March 31, 2008, at UHHS Bedford Medical Center.

Mr. Barber was born in Cleveland. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked in security for the Ford Motor Co. He was a member of the Bishop Hagan Council Knights of Columbus No. 3126, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1863 and the Ford Retiree Group.

He was the husband of Virginia A., nee Leonard, formerly Grecko; father of Christopher M. Grecko, Michelle M. (Mark) Czernec, nee Grecko, and Matthew W. (fiancee Jacqueline A. Bradac) Grecko; and brother of Robert J. and Thomas K. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances J., nee Roth; brother Charles O., and sisters Alta Heil and Lois E. Schroeder.

Entombment was at All Saints Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

St. John Funeral Home in Bedford handled arrangements.

Former Bedford Heights resident

Services were April 12 at Holy Trinity Church in Bedford Heights for Mary T. Buzash, nee Baksi.

Mrs. Buzash, 96, formerly of Bedford Heights, died April 8, 2008, at Southern Care Assisted Living Home in Franklin, Tenn.

Mrs. Buzash was born in Hungary. She was a homemaker.

She was the wife of the late Stephen; mother of Julieann (late Norbert) Capoccia and Steven (Dorothy); grandmother of David, Tami, Deborah, Heidi and Robert; and great-grandmother of 10.

Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions to the charity of your choice.

St. John Funeral Home of Bedford handled arrangements.
