Join storyteller extraordinaire Jennifer Johnson on May 10 at 2 p.m. for an afternoon of funny folk tales about magnificent moms and glorious grandmas. Children will also create a Mother's Day card. Please register.

summer reading

Join us May 8 at 6:30 p.m. as a children's librarian talks about the library's summer reading program and why it's important for your children to keep reading over the summer.

Teens register now
for summer camp

On Aug. 4 through 8 from 1 to 4 p.m., teens age 12 to 15 are invited to investigate shipwrecks, robotics in underwater archaeology and deep-water science.

Hands-on activities will introduce remotely-operated vehicles, shipwrecks of Lake Erie, scuba diving and more. Real explorers will share their adventures.

The camp is free, but space is limited, so register early.

Monday Morning Book Lovers to meet

On May 12 at 10 a.m., the group will discuss "Light on Snow" by Anita Shreve. This novel examines the realities revealed by the rescue of a baby abandoned in the snow. The June 9 discussion will feature "Dog Days: Dispatches from Bedlam Farm" by Jon Katz, which will be available to sign out and read ahead of time.
