Slovenian women meet May 10
The Slovenian Women's Union of Maple Heights will conduct a meeting May 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Maple Heights Regional Library, 5225 Library Lane, Maple Heights.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Joseph Kastelic, a Maple Heights native who prior to retirement was a pediatric hematologist with Children's Hospital in Akron. A light lunch will be served. There is no charge, but reservations are required. Call 330-467-0696.
AARP meeting set for May 16
The Maple Heights Chapter AARP No. 4490 will meet at the Maple Heights Regional Library, 5225 Library Lane, May 16 at 1 p.m.
Collections will be taken for the USO and St. Herman's Hospitality House, which will also accept clothing donations.
There also will be a presentation by a spokesperson from the Cleveland Botanical Gardens.
