Tinkers Creek watershed tour set

The public is invited to tour Tinkers Creek from its headwaters in Streetsboro to its end in Valley View where it joins the Cuyahoga River.

The tour of the watershed is being conducted by Tinkers Creek Chapter of the Western Reserve Land Conservancy on May 10.

Participants will meet in the parking lot of Dodge Intermediate School, 10225 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg at 9 a.m. and travel by van most of the day.

Participants will visit Herrick Fen in Streetsboro; Tinkers Creek Nature Preserve; and they will get to see the great falls of the creek and the Tinkers Creek gorge in Bedford.

The tour will end near where the creek empties into the Cuyahoga River.

Cost is $15 for Western Reserve members and $18 for non-members to cover the cost of renting a van.

The group will stop somewhere for lunch. Space is limited. RSVP by calling Marion Olson at 330-425-4159.
