Events from May 1 through May 9 May 1-2 -- Maple Heights will participate in the Cuyahoga County hazardous waste round-up. Items can be dropped off at the Maple Heights Service Garage, 5501 Dunham Road, Maple Heights, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. For more information, call 216-443-3749. May 5 -- Bedford City Council meets at 8 p.m. at Bedford City Hall, 165 Center Road, Bedford. May 7 -- Maple Heights City Council meets at 7 p.m. at the Maple Heights Senior Center, 15901 Libby Road, Maple Heights. May 8 -- A Glendale Preschool Fair will be conducted from 5 to 8 p.m. at Glendale Primary School, 400 West Glendale Ave., Bedford. It is intended for families in the Bedford City Schools with children age 5 and under. Reservations are required. For information, call 440-786-3517. May 9-10 -- The Bedford Garden Club's annual plant sale will be May 9-10 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 69 Pinecrest Drive, off Broadway Avenue, in Bedford. On sale will be perennials, herbs, shrubs and specialty plants, many of which are deer resistant. Members will be there to share insights and advice. The event will take place rain or shine.
