Police News: Police say boy attacked after school

Maple Heights -- A 15-year-old Maple Heights High School student told police he was beaten up April 4 by three young men after he told them he did not have any money.
The boy told police he was walking on South Boulevard shortly after 5:30 p.m. when three men, wearing all black clothing, got out of a black Nissan and approached him, asking for money. He said he told the men he had no money.
He told police the men pulled his hooded sweatshirt over his head and punched him several times in the back of the head and in the eye. The boy required no treatment and nothing was taken. Police are investigating.
Suspicious activity
April 5. Rocks tossed from behind wall: A Maple Heights woman told police she was driving near Warrensville Center Road and Gardenview Drive when her car ran over a large rock which she said was thrown from behind a nearby sound wall. The woman told police she saw the rock, but not the thrower. There was no damage done to her car.
April 7. Man lays in street, yells at cars: An anonymous caller told police a man wearing a yellow shirt was walking in the street near Maple Heights Boulevard and Lee Road around 11:30 p.m. and yelling at cars as they passed by. The caller also told police the man, at one point, laid down in the street and refused to move. He was gone when police arrived.
Theft
April 8. Four-wheeler taken from garage: A McCracken Road woman told police an $1,800 four-wheeler was taken from her locked garage. Nothing else was missing. The report did not state if there was any damage to the garage door.
Found property
April 5. Bike found in backyard: A Knoll Drive man told police he found a blue Mongoose bicycle in his backyard around 9:30 a.m. Police took the bike to the city evidence garage. There was no estimate listed for the bike's value.
Criminal mischief
April 4. Car window smashed: An Edgewood Avenue woman told police someone used an unknown item to break out the rear window of her car. She said there was nothing missing and did not list a damage estimate.
Attempted burglary
April 4. Window screens pried out: An Oakwood Avenue woman told police someone removed two window screens from her house, but did not gain entry. There was no damage estimate listed.
