REX B. COLLINS
Veteran, Maple Heights resident
Services were April 14 for Rex B. Collins.
Mr. Collins, 79, of Maple Heights, died Feb. 15, 2008, at the Holly Hill Nursing Home in Newbury. He was cremated.
Mr. Collins retired from Clecon Inc., where he was a purchasing agent for 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, obtaining the rank of corporal. He was a member of the Bedford Historical Society and Bedford Garden Club and served on the Southeast YMCA Board of Directors.
He was the husband of Mary Lou, nee Bail, his wife of 55 years; father of Rex B. of Las Vegas, Carole A. (Timothy) Colley of London and Colleen J. of Chesterland; grandfather of Bernadette and Maureen Dowger; brother of Barbara Skinner of Akron and Alice Jenkins of Canton.
Burial of cremains was at Bedford Cemetery.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Bedford Historical Society or Bedford Garden Club.
St. John Funeral Home of Bedford handled arrangements.
