by Emily Canning-Dean Reporter Dennis Kucinich and Jim Trakas will face off in November for the U.S. House of Representatives District 10 seat. According to final, but unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, incumbent Kucinich took the most votes in the Democratic primary with 68,156. He was followed by Joe Cimperman with 47,891, Barbara Ann Ferris with 8,780, Thomas O'Grady with 6,780 and Rosemary Palmer with 3,982. An elections board spokesperson said March 5 it was not known when votes counts would be certified. Kucinich and Cimperman could not be reached immediately for comment. "Dennis had a good base of voters, but they became upset with him when he took more of an interest in being president than Congressman," Palmer said. "But in the end, that base supported him. "Running was an interesting process and if Dennis sees this as a lesson to keep a better eye on his district, things will be fine," Palmer said. Ferris said, "I respect the vote. I just feel sad that the people in District 10 have been short-changed because they have no real leadership." O'Grady said, "I send congratulations to Dennis Kucinich. Regardless of the outcome, participating in the democratic process is worth noting." In the Republican primary, Trakas had 21,522 votes and Jason Warner had 5,530. Trakas said he appreciates support from constituents and will continue to campaign hard. "I want to propose real world solutions to the people of our district," Trakas said. "I want to spend time in April through October knocking on doors and talking to the people." Warner said, "The people have spoken. I will continue to be around to give a voice to those who don't have one." District 10 covers parts of Oakwood and Walton Hills. Other state, federal races
