Kindergarten sign-ups
begin March 17

Kindergarten registration is being conducted by appointment in the enrollment office at Maple Heights High School, 5500 Clement Drive, beginning March 17 through March 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Registration packets are available at the main entrance of the high school and should be completed prior to the appointment.

The following items are required to complete the enrollment of all kindergarten students: Birth certificate (original or certified copy; child must be age 5 by Sept. 30 to enroll), Social Security card or number, custody papers (a signed and certified copy, if applicable), complete immunization record, Ohio driver's license or Ohio ID, proof of residency (such documents include but are not limited to current voter registration card, current municipal income tax return, valid driver's license with current address, current utility bills, pay vouchers, current leases and current insurance declaration pages -- at least three of these items will be required).

St. Jude benefit set for March 2 at Ellenwood

The annual St. Jude benefit dinner will be March 2 from noon to 6 p.m. at Ellenwood Center, 124 Ellenwood Ave., Bedford.

Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children age 5 and under. "Out of the Storm," a local Christian artist, will perform at 3 p.m.
