Campaign finance reports show Lansky with most funding

Maple Heights -- Mayor Jeff Lansky took the lead in campaign funding for the Nov. 6 election, showing more than $15,000 available in campaign funds.

Kim Bartlett, spokesperson for the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, said that, although previous reports throughout the campaign were only required if candidates had more than $1,000 in funds, all candidates were required to submit post-election finance reports by Dec. 14.

According to a report submitted by the committee Jeff Lansky for Mayor, Lansky carried over $6,193 from his last report and received $8,985 in contributions. Available funds totaled $15,178.45 and expenditures totaled $7,773.

A report submitted by the Committee to Elect Neomia Mitchell showed that Mitchell, who unsuccessfully ran for mayor, carried over no funds from the previous report and received $1,495.47 in contributions. Available funds and expenditures each totaled $1,495.47.

City Council roundup

According to a report submitted by Citizens for B. Lee Miami, the unsuccessful candidate for Council president carried over $492 from the previous report and received $2,710 in contributions. Both available funds and expenditures totaled $3,203, according to a report submitted by Citizens for B. Lee Miami.

Miami's opponent, Jackie Albers, who was elected Council President, did not submit a report.

Alex Adams, the candidate who was elected to District 1 Council, carried over no funds from the last report, received no contributions and had no expenditures, according to a report submitted by the Committee to Elect Alex Adams.

Toni Jones, the unsuccessful District 2 candidate carried over no funds from the previous report and received $1,185 in contributions. Funds available totaled $1,185 and expenditures totaled $1,154, according to a report submitted by Elect Toni Jones.

Anthony Cefaratti the victorious District 3 candidate carried over no funds from the previous report and had $550 in contributions. Available funds totaled $550 and expenditures totaled $350, according to a report submitted by Anthony Cefaratti for America.

George Hasenohrl, the unsuccessful District 3 candidate carried over $287 from his last campaign report. He brought in an extra $1,257 in contributions. Hasenohrl's total funds were $1,544 and expenditures totaled $1,242 according to the finance report submitted by the Committee to Elect George Hasenohrl.

Freddie Jackson showed that the victorious District 4 candidate carried over no funds since the last report, received no contributions and had zero expenditures, according to a report submitted by the Committee to Elect Freddie Jackson.

Ron Jackson the unsuccessful District 4 candidate, who is no relation to Freddie Jackson, carried over no funds from his last report. There also were no monetary contributions listed. There was $778 listed in "other funds" and the same amount listed under total expenditures, according to a report submitted by the Committee to Elect Ron Jackson.

Gaius Vaduva, the unsuccessful District 5 candidate carried over no funds from his previous report. Monetary contributions totaled $1,260 and other income totaled $2 leaving $1,263 in funds available. Total expenditures was $1,263, according to a report submitted by the Campaign to Elect Gaius Vaduva.

Patricia Houston showed that the victorious District 6 candidate did not bring over and funds from her last report, collected no monetary contributions, made no expenditures and had no funds available, according to a finance report submitted by Patricia Houston.

Joseph G. Szumski, the victorious District 7 candidate did not carry over any funds from the previous report. He received $200 in contributions and had $852 in other funds. Available funds totaled $1,052.

Expenditures was also $1,052, according to a report submitted by Citizens to Elect Joseph G Szumski.

School Board roundup

Lori Chick and Michael White, who ran as a team, showed that the two victorious Board of Education candidates carried over $2,035 from the last report.

They received $675 in monetary contributions and had not expenditures with a total of $2,710 in available funds, according to a report submitted by the Committee to Elect Lori Chick and Michael White.

Theodore Lockmiller, the unsuccessful Board of Education candidate did not carry over any funds from the last report, received no contributions and had no expenditures, according to a report submitted by Friends of Theodore Lockmiller.
