MLK service planned
Mt. Zion Church, One Mt. Zion Circle, Oakwood, invites members of the community to attend a Martin Luther King Jr. service Jan. 21. At 6 p.m. a video about his life will be shown. Dr. King's suit, overcoat, jewelry and pictures will be on display at the Mt. Zion Fine Arts Center. For more information, call 440-232-2645. Program set for Jan. 27
The Southeast Clergy Council and the Jimmy Dimora Community Center are hosting a program entitled: "Reaching the dream: How youth succeed in school, family life and work." It will be Jan. 27 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Jimmy Dimora Community Center, 5615 Perkins Road, Bedford Heights. It will be a panel discussion with community leaders and students, inspired by the life and dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Participants will include Charles See of the community re-entry program, James Chones of the Dimora community center, Kevin Gibaldi, principal at Bedford High School, and Tracy Smith of the Covenant Project.
