by Eric Marotta Editor Northfield Village -- Fire departments from throughout the area helped battle a house fire that claimed the lives of two family pets. But no people were injured in the fire reported about 4:30 p.m. at 107 Chestnut Ave. on the corner of Electric Boulevard. A Northfield Village firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion and has since recovered. Fire Capt. Jason Buss said the house was not livable and estimated damage at about $150,000 in structural loss and an additional $50,000 in personal belongings.
